Shazam
Shazam is an incredible new service that recognises music over your phone.
Wherever you hear a song - in a bar, on the radio, in the car - Shazam can tell you the artist and track title. Try it, you'll be amazed.
How to use it?
All you have to do is:
- Hear a track you want to identify (make sure it is loud)
- Dial 2580 on your mobile
- Wait for the tone
- Point your phone towards the music
- Shazam listens to the tune with you for 15 seconds.
- Shazam ends the call
You then get a text message with the name of the track and the artist.
Costs & other details
A successfully recognised song will cost 50p and there's 9p call charge.
Shazam will also keep a free record of your tagged tunes on a personalised web page at www.shazam.com and you can then buy them if you want!
